​Surf Coast Candles was born in 2013, inspired by life by the ocean and a deep love for the Surf Coast lifestyle.

What began as a small idea creating environmentally friendly travel candles for visitors exploring Torquay and the Great Ocean Road quickly grew into something much more meaningful.

Living and working beside the Southern Ocean, we draw constant inspiration from the rugged coastline, rolling waves, and lush landscapes of the Otways. These elements shape every candle we create, capturing moments, memories, and the unmistakable feeling of being by the sea.

As a family-run business, quality and care are at the heart of everything we do. Each candle is hand poured in our Torquay studio, just minutes from some of Australia’s most iconic surf breaks. We take pride in crafting candles that not only smell beautiful but also tell a story of place.

We use high-quality natural soy wax for a slow, clean burn and carefully curate premium fragrance blends designed to transport you whether it’s the fresh coastal air, earthy rainforest trails, or the calming rhythm of the ocean. Our cotton and wood wicks complete the experience, with wood wicks offering a gentle crackle that feels like home.
